At Gatwick Airport forming both ends of the Brighton to Preston Virgin Cross Country service on 12 May 2000 hauled by class 47, 47839. This service will be routed to the north via Clapham Junction and Kensington Olympia.

Large logo class 47 Nº47485 with the Saturdays Only Manchester - Eastbourne service taken as it passes Berwick at speed in the late summer of 1991.

U47 An unidentified class 47 with raised alloy "double arrows" on the same service at the same place. This used to start from Manchester around 7:00am and arrive in Eastbourne in time for lunch, having made a pretty leisurely journey via Birmingham, Reading and the West London line.
