Foord Viaduct, built for the South Eastern Railway in 1843, crosses the valley between Folkestone Central and Folkestone East. It has nineteen round-headed arches and is up to 100 feet high. The viaduct is almost without adornment, but has gracefully tapering piers. Steel tie rods were added to the arches in 1943.
