Two cars of Cep 1500, the prototype unit for the refurbishment programme, now languish at the Coventry Railway Centre. Pictured here on 18th August 2002 is TSO 70302 in faded Jaffa Cake (London & South East Passenger Sector) livery. Note the Commonwealth bogies.

1500 Trailer brake composite 70345 of unit 1500, also at Coventry, is interestingly in Network SouthEast, Kent Coast, livery. Note that the prototype for the refurbishment programme does not have hopper windows fitted.
