| When the "Connex Express" service was first introduced it was possible to see all of the 319/2 units, within a timescale of about 30 minutes, at East Croydon during the evening peak period. |

| After a while the off-peak service was increased to half-hourly and it was relaunched as the "Brighton express", complete with new stickers. |
